Annual Habitation Checks

A habitation check is an annual safety and function inspection for the living area of your campervan or motorhome. It covers the key systems that keep you safe and comfortable, and helps catch issues early before they become expensive problems.

What we check

We inspect the main habitation systems, which typically include gas, electrics, water, ventilation, heating (where fitted), and general internal condition, including damp checks where applicable.

Gas System
We inspect the gas system for safety and condition, checking for leaks, correct operation and that appliances are connected and functioning as they should.

Electrics (12V and 230V)
We check the main electrical systems in the living area, including the leisure battery setup, lighting, sockets and general operation to make sure everything is working safely and reliably.

Water System
We inspect the water system including the pump, taps and pipework, looking for leaks, correct flow and overall condition.

Appliances
We test fitted appliances such as fridges, hobs, heaters and other equipment to make sure they are operating correctly and safely.

Pop-top Roof and Canvas
We check the pop-top condition, including the canvas, seals and general operation. We also check hinge bolts and key fixing points as part of routine pop-top maintenance.

Ventilation
We inspect vents and airflow points to ensure they are clear, secure and working as intended.

Damp and Structural Checks
We look for signs of damp, water ingress or structural concerns within the living area, helping to catch issues early.

What you’ll receive
You’ll get a clear written report of what we’ve checked, any faults found, and recommendations. If any repairs are needed, we can advise the next steps and provide a quote.
